Sensors allow objects
to locate other objects or agents
Sensor functions raise
event, within which the detection
functions are used to determine all kinds of info about what the sensor has found.
If no matching objects/agents were found, the no_sensor
event is raised instead.
- llSensor and llSensorRepeat will not detect the object that contains them. This also applies to attachments--they won't detect the agent they're attached to, unless the sensor script is within a child object.
- A sensors point of origin in linked objects is from the prim calling the function. Not the root or the center of the linkset.
Using sensors increases server
load, which can contribute to lag
